Phoenixes can sing very beautifully, and their voices are lovely and alluring even when just speaking naturally.

...Fire. When I can move again, I'll need to bathe in fire. It's rejuvenating, so even if my temperature isn't entirely stable, that's all right; it won't have any harmful effects. Until I am at least somewhat healed, rooms have to be... what you humans would consider "uncomfortably warm"? Because of our differences in temperatures, what's cool to you is freezing to me. Any sort of heated blankets or charms will do fine, but I won't be able to get out of bed in such a case.

Diet-wise, I can eat most anything you can, I just prefer it hotter -- of course. Boiling to you, comfortable to me. There are some special things I can eat, but... I wouldn't ask you to go out of your way for a pureblood. As long as it isn't toxic to both avians and humans, it's likely safe for me.

Purebloods are weaker than chimeras and require far more expensive and extensive care. We... can't adapt like humans or chimeras can. All I meant was you didn't need to bother with special care.

If I'm too frozen, it can cause a rebirth. That is, the heat kindling me to explode into fire and burn out entirely. That's not harmful to me -- I'll simply reform from the ashes in a few minutes so long as they aren't soaked -- but it can cause issues to anything flammable in a close range. Including you.

The first is obvious. Heat. I can live uncomfortably in warm temperatures, but to make myself fully comfortable while you are not, I need specialized areas. Clothes. My room. The like. Inlaid fire stones, enchantments... whatever can affect me without radiating heat too much. While it's not exotic, I tend to all black clothing as a way to help with this as well, since it absorbs heat from lights. Fully covering clothing as well. It's stifling to me at times, but any exposed skin is just a way to get colder.

...an enclosed area to sleep is something most avian purebloods want. Sleeping in a normal room, in a normal bed, is fine enough, but feral birds nest, and we want the same. Not too small so that it's stifling, but somewhere we can stack blankets and pillows and feel cozy in. Some actually prefer cages, exposed as they are. Others want solid walls with just one way in or out. ...I've heard that for the very few lucky purebloods to be owned by the rich, they have a large room set up with all their necessities -- bathroom, desk, dresser, and so on -- with one corner dedicated to their nest, so they can still sleep peacefully but live comfortably as well.

Specialized food, of course, but that comes in many forms. For the most part, cooking human food to our preferred temperatures burns it, and while that's not something phoenixes are adverse to, it's akin to eating simple, low-seasoned fare for you. So to feed us "properly", you have to find ingredients that can be cooked extremely high and hot without being burned. These... are not common. Fire-aligned creatures, or fruits and vegetables that grow in volcanos, are the ones that I know of, and you can imagine how difficult it is to stock those even just for one person.

I've spoken about rebirth before; a fireproof area for that helps us, as rebirth is inevitable at some point. When depends on the phoenix in question, of course... but fatal wounds or sicknesses can be easily cured by raising the heat intensely in such a place and leaving us there. Unfortunately, we can't simply rebirth when we feel like it, so if we become sick, or crippled, or impaired in non-fatal ways... all that can be done is to wait it out.

Water is fine, though like food, we prefer it hotter, whether drinking it or for baths. What you'd consider "cold" is arctic to us, and can be very harmful, but as long as we're not in our rebirth phase, there's no threat to us from it beyond drowning, which is common for humans as well.

Physically, I'm not as robust as other creatures -- even other purebloods. I can fight, and it will take more effort to break my bones than it would to break a human's bones, but I am still avian, and I can't fly if any of them are broken. My wings, especially, would require immediate and careful care, otherwise... well, I spoke on crippling before. In any situation, I can die extremely easily compared to chimeras... and in some cases, even humans.

Finally, if fed enough magic in any way -- whether infused in food, given edible magic gems, or so on -- the tears I cry are restorative. I can technically do this any time I wish, but... if I don't have an excess of magic, then I draw from my own life for it. Though that is not so much exotic care as it is simply something I can do.
